This Data Compliance Statement explains how ApneTailor collects, uses, stores, protects, shares, and retains information across the ApneTailor User (Customer) App, ApneTailor Tailor App, and related services.

ApneTailor is committed to protecting user privacy, maintaining data security, and handling personal information responsibly and transparently.

Why We Collect Data

Information is collected only when necessary to operate the ApneTailor platform and deliver requested services.

Tailor onboarding and verification
Order placement and management
Tailor matching and assignment
Pickup and delivery coordination
Customer support
Fraud prevention and security monitoring
Review of in-app chats for operations, support, and quality where reasonably necessary

Order Processing and Tailor Matching

To complete tailoring orders, relevant order information may be shared with assigned tailors.

Only information reasonably required to complete an order is made available to participating service providers.

Courier and Delivery Partners

ApneTailor may work with third-party logistics and courier providers for pickup and delivery services.

Data Security

ApneTailor applies reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational security measures to help protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

While no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to safeguard the information entrusted to us.

Data Retention

Information is retained only for as long as necessary to:

Provide services
Maintain operational records
Prevent fraud and abuse
Resolve disputes
Meet accounting obligations
Comply with legal requirements

In-app chats associated with an order are normally deleted within 7 to 14 days after that order is completed, unless a longer period is reasonably required for support, disputes, security, or legal compliance. Order, payment, and logistics records may be retained for longer after completion where reasonably necessary.

Account deletion requests are processed according to our Account Deletion Policy. Accounts and related personal data are deleted after 30 days if no security, fraud, abuse, dispute, or legal-hold issues are identified.

Account Deletion and Anonymization

Following a valid deletion request and completion of the applicable retention period, personal information is deleted or anonymized.

Certain operational, legal, financial, and compliance records may be retained, but personal identifiers are removed or replaced with anonymized references such as "Deleted User" or "Deleted Tailor".

Your Rights and Controls

Subject to applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), where applicable, users and tailors may exercise the following rights and controls:

Right to access your information

You may request to know what personal information ApneTailor holds about you. Customers can review account, profile, and order information in the ApneTailor User App. Tailors can review account and profile information in the ApneTailor Tailor App.

If you ask, "What personal information do you have about me?", contact [email protected] from your registered email address where possible. Include your registered name, phone number, and whether you use the customer app or tailor app. We will verify your identity and provide a reasonable summary of personal information we hold, subject to applicable law, security, fraud prevention, and operational requirements.

ApneTailor does not currently provide an automated data-export or "Download My Data" feature. Access requests may be handled through support while we assess future self-service options.

Right to correct your information

You are responsible for keeping your information accurate. Customers can update eligible profile fields directly in the ApneTailor User App, including:

Name
Phone number
Email address
Saved pickup and delivery addresses
Profile photo, where supported

Tailors can update eligible profile fields in the ApneTailor Tailor App, including name, phone number, email address, addresses, and profile photo, where supported. If a field cannot be changed in the app, or a correction requires manual review, tailors may request an update by emailing [email protected]. We may require verification before processing certain changes.

Other controls

Request account deletion, as described in our Account Deletion Policy
Contact support regarding privacy, security, or data-handling concerns
Raise grievances relating to data handling through our support channels

Data Breach Response

ApneTailor maintains internal processes for detecting, containing, investigating, and responding to suspected or confirmed incidents involving unauthorized access to, or disclosure of, personal information.

Our general approach includes:

Identifying and containing the incident
Investigating scope, cause, and affected information
Taking reasonable steps to reduce harm and prevent recurrence
Preserving records needed for investigation, remediation, and legal compliance
Notifying the appropriate authority and affected individuals where required under applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India)
